Choosing an eyebrow pencil and brow gel in the UK

A pencil adds colour or individual strokes; gel positions and holds hairs. Tinted gel combines these functions only partly. If your natural shape already suits you, one item may be enough rather than an entire range.
Inspect bare brows in daylight. Decide whether you want a soft natural result, a defined outline or strong hold. Keep a reference of a result you like instead of relying on heavily edited advertising.
Undertone and format
A warm shade can differ visibly from your hairs even when named brown. Compare several shades because names are not standard across brands. A lighter, softer option may allow gradual application, but that is personal preference rather than a rule for every hair colour.
A fine mechanical tip suits individual strokes but needs careful handling and can run out quickly. A sharpenable pencil involves different preparation. Check whether a suitable sharpener or spoolie is included and whether the barrel feels comfortable.
Everyday hold
Assess residue and comfort after gel dries. Clear products can still leave visible deposits. For very strong styling, learn application and removal before repeatedly layering it on.
If shape is the real difficulty, consider a consultation: BBB London lists a brow-shape consultation separately ↗. Another pencil cannot replace a discussion of a shape you find difficult to reproduce.
Buying and maintaining products
Request hygienic testing rather than applying a shared wand directly to your face. OPSS explains cosmetic labels and usable life ↗. Record opening dates and follow storage instructions.
Compare quantity, convenience and actual consumption. A small useful set is preferable to several almost identical unsuitable shades. Stop after irritation and investigate its cause rather than covering a reaction with heavier makeup.
