Checking airport transit visas when flying from the UK

Читать на русскомTransit requirements depend on the whole connection
A UK residence permission or departure from the UK alone does not determine transit-visa requirements. Relevant details include nationality and passport type, transit country and airport, destination, UK documents, connection length and whether you can remain airside.
Check each country’s official rules separately. France-Visas ↗ explains French airport transit, while NetherlandsWorldwide ↗ provides Dutch procedures. Do not transfer one country’s rules to another.
Airside or entering the country
Airside transit means remaining outside immigration entry control. An airport transit visa, where required, generally covers that situation rather than permission to enter for a landside hotel or baggage collection.
If you must change airports, collect and recheck luggage, stay outside the transit zone or pass immigration, check entry requirements. France-Visas separately explains connections through two Schengen airports and short-stay Schengen entry requirements. Calling the journey transit does not remove the issue.
Questions for the airline
Provide dates, flight numbers, airports and terminals, single or separate tickets, baggage arrangements and documents. Ask whether baggage will be checked through and whether the next boarding pass can be obtained without entering the country.
Check overnight transit-zone opening and whether a terminal change crosses immigration. Minimum connection time and visa entitlement are separate checks. A short connection does not create an exemption from a required visa.
Before paying
Check exemptions for your precise document rather than another passenger’s apparently similar card. Ask the competent consulate where rules remain unclear. Airline advice matters for boarding, but the country determines its visa requirements.
Keep the official conditions and itinerary confirmation. If a self-transfer requires entry and you cannot obtain the necessary visa, choose another routing before a non-refundable purchase. Recheck before departure because an airport, flight or baggage change can alter the requirements.
