Choosing microblading or powder brows in the UK

Microblading and machine-created powder brows differ in technique, but both involve pigment in skin. Semi-permanent does not guarantee complete disappearance. Bexley describes microblading and the possibility of permanent results ↗.
Examine healed work rather than only immediate photographs. Discuss colour changes, asymmetry and natural hair growth. Someone else's photograph cannot determine your appropriate shape.
Check the practitioner
Ask about training, experience, insurance and pigment brand, shade and batch. Discuss single-use needles, hygiene and treatment records. Check local permissions ↗ for the practitioner and address, including London's special-treatment arrangements.
Disclose allergies, scarring tendencies, medication, skin conditions and previous cosmetic tattooing. Compatibility with an old tattoo requires assessment and treatment history rather than matching visible colour alone.
Agree the design
Request a drawn design and examine it upright in normal light. Do not proceed until shape and shade are understood. Ask whether changing your decision means losing the entire procedure fee.
Obtain written aftercare and warning signs. Avoid picking healing skin. Increasing pain, swelling, pus or spreading redness need clinical advice.
Complete budget
Check the initial touch-up, its permitted timing, future maintenance and charges for another practitioner's work. Removal may be a separate complex treatment without guaranteed restoration of the original skin. Choosing an intensely saturated result purely to reduce future appointments may make later changes harder. Keep the agreed design and pigment details with your receipt.
